Whoever leaves the body at the time of death while remembering God shall reach God, declares Lord Shree Krishna in Bhagavad Gita Chapter 8, Verse 5.

As the light does not leave the Sun and waves from the Ocean, Coolness and calmness from the Moon, we cannot separate from the eternal love through which we have connected with you, dear Leo.

Dearest Leo

We were by his side till 2 AM on the 8th of February 2023, and Krishna was awake throughout the night. I slept till 7 AM and came out to check on my baby. He was there, hanging on the last breath of life. He was waiting for us to get up by his side. He wanted to say a proper goodbye. He did not just leave us abruptly.

Krishna told me that he tried to give water to Leo but would not take it. When I looked at my baby, I understood that he may be having very few minutes, then I suddenly realised, ran to the balcony to get a few Tulasi leaves ( Holy Basil), and added them to a glass of water, given a spoon and Krishna a spoon. After drinking that water, he departed, leaving us sad. He did not go without telling us goodbye. He waited till 7.30 AM, came down from Sofa, lay down in front of God’s room, looked at God, looked into our eyes as if he was taking our permission to leave, took the last sip of Tulasi water from us and left us forever.

I have not given birth, but he was more than a Son to me. 14 yrs, he always shared happiness and love, never troubled us, and always listened to Vishnu Sahasranamam.

When I wake up now, there is no Leo.

He had led a life of discipline throughout his life. When his health was declining in the terminal stages, he did not piss or shit in the house or spoil anything.

Sleep my baby for eternity.
You are in our hearts and minds forever.

The perfect Baby

As Shri Krishna declared in Chapter 8, Verse 5 of the Bhagavad Gita, whoever remembers Him at the time of death, reaches Him. I hope my baby Leo attained God’s consciousness as he was absorbed in looking at God at the time of his grand departure.

He was a true Yogi in the form of a Dog attained God.

Adios dear Leo
